I feel like this is a pretty important part of the song they're saying that, although the world is very dark, hurtful, and cold, they're also a part of it.
They're constantly enduring tons of pain, but they feel like, one day, they'll just have to deal with it, unfortunately. They've been so hurt by people in the world, made fun of, attacked, insulted, whatever happened to them caused them so much pain to the point that they no longer see themselves as apart of the world that they live in.
